How Nutritious Food can fight Against Covid19 in Children?

A healthy body with all the mandatory precautions such as social distancing, wearing mask, and hand sanitizing can make our children well prepared for fight against Covid19. To build a healthy immune system, nutrition plays a key role for each and every human being. In case of child, intake of nutritious food is crucial and can prevent Covid19 by increasing immunity with in the body. It is necessary to give equivalent importance to the food we take & what we give to our children.

Here are some ways to increase child’s immunity power:

  • Use vegetables and fruits in the form of soups and salads which attracts children and make them to eat healthy food by giving nice appearance to those food items.
  • Seasonal fruits and vegetables are very useful to increase resistance power, so try to add them in regular kid’s diet. These can be very useful to protect against viral infections
  • Foods containing vitamin-c are very useful to protect against viral infections, so giving some juices with added flavors to the children can make them drink easily and can increase the capacity to fight against infections.
  • Eating freshly cooked foods, mainly home food is advices because it will be hygienic to avoid gut infections in children.
  • Calcium based products like milk & curd are very useful to stay our child strong and healthy physically.
  • Avoid artificially preserved food items as they contain huge amounts of fatty acids, salts and sugars.
  • For newly born infants breast feeding is important and it should not reduce during pandemic.
